After over a decade away in assisted living, 2024 marks my 16th year as a COA Director. I have enjoyed furthering my education by becoming certified as a Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Cognition Coach.
It is a mission, not just a position to bring joy and purpose (and some humor and comfort) to the lives of seniors. I am grateful to the support of the EOEA/EOAI and the MCOA all these years.

About 30 years ago, my neighbor who worked at a senior center, asked me if I would like to volunteer as my daughters were in school at day and I was at home. From that volunteer position to today, I have a happily served as the director of two senior center's in Virginia and then 24 years in my current role at the Lynnfield Senior Center.
