October DFM Quarterly Meeting

Wednesday, October 8, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM 

All DFM Quarterly Meetings are open to the public.

Karen Coppola, Certified Dementia Practitioner and Executive Director of It Takes a Herd, will discuss her organization's dementia friendly equine assisted program that she created and implemented to support care partners and their care recipients with dementia. The program, based in Essex County, MA, utilizes horses as a conduit and provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where participants share an equine experience.
