💜 COAs: Here’s an excellent education resource to share with older adults, caregivers and families in your community.
The Alzheimer’s Association of MA/NH is offering a full schedule of free virtual education programs this October, with topics that align closely with the questions COA staff hear every day.
Programs include:
🧠 Understanding Alzheimer’s & Dementia
🔎 10 Warning Signs
💬 Communicating Effectively
❤️ Supporting Independence
🧩 Responding to Dementia-Related Behaviors
💵 Managing Money: A Caregiver’s Guide to Finances
🤝 Exploring Care & Support Services
Many programs also have prerecorded versions available anytime, making these particularly easy resources to share with caregivers who may not be able to attend a scheduled session.
💡 COAs can help spread the word:
• Include the programs in your newsletter or e-blast
• Share individual sessions on social media
• Pass the information along to caregivers and support groups
• Add the recorded programs to your caregiver or dementia-resource webpages
• Share with staff who regularly assist families navigating dementia
Helping families find trusted information early can make navigating dementia a little less overwhelming.
👉 Review the complete schedule, registration links and on-demand programs and share them with your community.
