FY25 Budget signed - Councils on Aging will receive $15 per senior for the Formula grant!
This is a $1.7 million increase from the FY24 budget allocation.
Great News!
On July 29th, Governor Healey signed the budget for FY25 making official that Councils on Aging will receive $15 per senior for the Formula grant that we advocated so hard for!!
This is a $1.7 million increase from the FY24 budget allocation. We are so grateful to the House and Senate leadership, especially Chairman Michlewitz and Senator Rodrigues, for being unwavering supporters of the Councils on Aging. We thank the Governor for her leadership and for supporting this important increase for MCOA. This increase demonstrates that the Legislative and Administrative leadership in Massachusetts continues to recognize the amazing contributions of the COAs across the state!
