FY27 Service Incentive Grant (SIG) RFP Announcement
MCOA is pleased to announce the availability of FY27 Direct Grant Opportunities through the Service Incentive Grant (SIG) program, pending final approval of the state budget. These Field Demonstration Project (FDP) grants are designed to support innovative, impactful programs led by Massachusetts Councils on Aging.
We invite all eligible MCOA member COAs and consortia of COAs to apply. Funding is limited and awarded through a competitive process.
A Bidders Conference will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Register here.
Please review the following important details and deadlines:
📌 Grant Overview
Eligible COAs may apply for up to three (3) different project areas, with one proposal per area. Each project must be:
Time-limited (no ongoing operational funding)
Submitted separately via MCOA’s online grant portal: https://mcoa.grantplatform.com/
Aligned with the goals approved by the Executive Office of Aging & Independence (AGE)

Age & Dementia Friendly – up to $20,000
Caregiver Respite – up to $10,000
Healthy Aging Innovations – up to $10,000
Nutrition – up to $20,000
Outreach – up to $20,000
Senior Center Modernization – up to $25,000
Transportation – up to $25,000

RFP Release: April 27, 2026
Bidders Conference: May 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM (via Zoom)
Written Questions Due: May 11, 2026 by 4:00 PM
Q&A Posted on Infohub: May 18, 2026
Proposals Due: June 5, 2026 by 4:00 PM
Award Notifications: July 10, 2026
Contracts Finalized By: July 31, 2026
Projects Completed By: June 30, 2027
Final Reports Due: July 31, 2027
📝 Application & Budget
Applications must be completed in full and submitted through MCOA’s online grant portal. The portal allows you to save drafts and upload required attachments, including:
Project narrative
Project-specific supplemental documents
Budget (submitted using MCOA’s required Excel template)
Budgets must reflect eligible costs, show any in-kind or external funding, and comply with cost caps.
