The Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA), in partnership with Suffolk University, is offering its Municipal Finance Management Seminar, a professional development opportunity designed exclusively for municipal employees looking to strengthen their knowledge of local government finance.

Held virtually over five Fridays (9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.), this seminar provides a comprehensive overview of municipal finance in Massachusetts, covering topics such as local government structure, budgeting and revenue, financial reporting, financial management, property assessment, the intersection of human resources and finance, and best practices in municipal financial management.

Courses are taught by Suffolk University faculty, and participants are not required to have a bachelor's degree. Enrollment is limited to 25 municipal employees per session, and participants are expected to attend all classes and complete course assignments.
