Position: Administrative Assistant / Newsletter Editor
Hours: 16 hours per week (Mon–Thurs, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM)
Status: Part-time, non-benefited
The Georgetown Council on Aging seeks an organized, creative, and compassionate individual to support daily operations at the Senior Center and serve as editor of the monthly newsletter.
Responsibilities include office and front-desk support, maintaining records, assisting with payroll and communications, and preparing the monthly newsletter for print and digital distribution.
Qualifications:
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Canva or similar design software preferred
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work well with older adults and maintain confidentiality
* CORI check required; CPR/AED certification within one year
* Two years’ experience in elder or human services preferred
