The COA Director also serves as a key liaison between the town, community organizations, and state agencies, advocating for services and resources to enhance the well-being of older and disabled residents. Additional responsibilities include financial oversight, policy development, program coordination, and compliance with al relevant municipal and state regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Services, Human Services, Gerontology, Public Relations, Health Studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including at least one year of supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Proven ability to interact effectively with older adults and individuals with disabilities. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of Federal, State, and local resources, programs, and services for older adults. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional home visits. Ability to pass a CORI and background check. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Starting salary of $78,000 annually
