The Town of Sherborn, MA (pp. 4,500) seeks qualified applicants for the position of Council on Aging Outreach Coordinator. This is a 24 hr. per week position, non-exempt benefit eligible.

Essential Job Functions: The Outreach Coordinator provides human services outreach to the Town’s older adults by maintaining regular contact, assessing needs, and offering information, programs, and support services. The position makes referrals as necessary, responds to crises, and coordinates with local agencies and Town departments. Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state requirements. Due to the size and service-oriented nature of the Council on Aging, this position operates in a highly collaborative, team-based environment in which staff regularly provide cross-coverage and mutual support to ensure continuity of services for residents, while maintaining clearly defined responsibilities, authority, and accountability appropriate to the role.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in social work, gerontology, or human services field and one (1) to three (3) years of working with older adults, social work, or human services administrative experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Additional Requirements: Valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $27.00 to $31.00/hr
