The full-time Outreach Supervisor provides information and referral, home visits, case management and advocacy to Billerica’s senior population and to their caregivers. The position is responsible for overseeing the Outreach department and communicating to the public about programs and services available to seniors.  Outreach Supervisor represents the COA at community meetings, health fairs, housing authority, assisted living facilities and elder networking meetings. The position supervises outreach workers, transportation coordinator, van drivers and volunteers.  As a mandated reporter, this position files protective services reports when an elder has been identified for being at-risk due to physical abuse or financial exploitation. Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations is observed. Contributes to the well-being of senior citizens by working as a member of a team that strives to make the senior center a vibrant and energetic setting. This position interfaces with municipal public safety departments, the Executive Office of Aging and Independence and Age Span.  Enjoys working with senior citizens and volunteers.  Organizes various programs related to the outreach department.
