The purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate, administer, and evaluate programs, classes, special events, and outreach initiatives for the Belmont Human Services/Council on Aging Department. This position is focused on providing high-quality programs and services that promote the health, wellness, independence, and social engagement of older adults in Belmont and surrounding communities. Under the general direction of the Director of Human Services, the Program Director is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, implementing, and evaluating programs and activities; coordinating publicity and community outreach efforts; managing program registration and related databases; assisting with volunteer coordination; maintaining community partnerships; and supporting general departmental operations, statistical reporting, and special projects. The Program Director performs all other related work as required.
